Who we are
Ampreso Europe consists out of a staff in 5 different countries, including 5 executives with long time experience in the European software market. Ampreso Europe covers the main European markets with offices in the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Italy.
Executive Team
Rolf Dörr
Rolf brings nearly 25 years of international experience in general management, marketing and sales leadership to Ampreso. Prior to his consulting work, Rolf co-founded the European business for Webroot, one of the leading vendors of PC security products. Before that he was co-founder a start-up in multimedia software and hardware for which he raised over $8 million. Before that he was VP of International Operations at Rogue Wave Software, Inc., a NASDAQ listed company. Rolf joined Rogue Wave through its acquisition of Precision Software GmbH, a 45 person organisation in Europe, of which Rolf was majority shareholder. He has a B.S. in physics and a Ph. D. in chemistry, both from the University of Frankfurt. Rolf also graduated in 1989 from the OPM program at Harvard Business School.
Nick Lewis
Nick brings over 20 years of sales, marketing and senior management experience to Ampreso. Previously he has held senior posts with Access Technology, Visual Numerics, Corvu, SAS and most recently Webroot Software, where he was a key member of the team that launched their EMEA business.
Nick has enjoyed a great deal of success managing Direct and Indirect sales channels, as well as building Online, Retail, Consumer (B2C), Enterprise (B2B) and service oriented sales businesses. He comes with a proven track record of managing and developing software businesses in the UK and Europe through periods of rapid growth and change.
Gilles Paulot
Gilles Paulot is founder of Ampreso France. In this capacity he was responsible for developing the business for Webroot in France and Africa. Before that, he was country manager France for Rogue Wave Software. Gilles joined Rogue Wave through its acquisition of Precision Software Sarl, a 4 people organisation in France, of which Gilles was country manager and shareholder. Before that, he was responsible for founding the French organization for Precision Visuals where he was sales manager for France. Gilles has a degree in electronics and mechanical engineering from ESME in Paris.
Herbert Weustenenk
Herbert is founder of Ampreso Europe in The Netherlands. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing the business for Webroot in the Benelux region. Before that, he was product manager (product marketing) for BigDog Solutions, a start-up company that developed PSA Solutions (project management, project accounting). Before that, Herbert worked as strategic accounts manager for Alfa Consult, a consulting organization in Luxemburg. Before that, he was country manager Benelux for Rogue Wave Software, responsible for sales in Benelux and for setting up the European sales and support centre in Amsterdam. Herbert joined Rogue Wave through its acquisition of Precision Software BV, a 7 people organisation, of which he was country manager and shareholder. Herbert holds a B.S. in marketing and electronics engineering.
Paolo Zavattarelli
Paolo brings over 20 year of experience in management, marketing and sales to Ampreso, he joined Ampreso on January 2008 starting the Italian operation. Paolo spent the previous ten years as country manager Italy for Rogue Wave Software. Before that he worked as Sales Manager for the Italian offices of American companies such as Pansophic, On-line Software, Sterling Software and as strategic account for Computer Associates, Platinum Technology. Paolo has a degree in electronics engineering from Politecnico in Milan.
